Cat-Fight for Cash: Kay Hanley Demands Missing Purr-ofit From 2001 Flop
The voice of Josie and the Pussycats realizes three cents in royalties won't even cover a single can of Fancy Feast.

Honey, put down the guitar and grab the calculator. Kay Hanley, the legendary voice behind the cult-classic Josie and the Pussycats movie, is currently auditioning for the role of 'Debt Collector.' It turns out that while we were all busy wearing leopard-print ears and pretending we liked the movie back in 2001, the payroll department was apparently napping under a sunbeam.
Kay is on a mission to hunt down her missing residuals from the SAG-AFTRA big wigs. She’s looking for that sweet, sweet cheddar that's been lost in the sofa cushions of Hollywood for over two decades. Honestly, the nerve! You can’t have someone belt out '3 Small Words' and then give them zero big checks. That’s just bad rock-and-roll etiquette.
Word on the street is that those missing payments are roughly enough to buy a vintage tour bus or, more likely, a very nice artisanal sourdough loaf at a Los Angeles farmer’s market. Either way, Kay isn't backing down until every penny is accounted for. If the money doesn't show up soon, we're fully expecting a protest concert featuring a very angry leopard-spotted drum kit.
Stay fierce, Kay! If they don't pay up, just remind them that the soundtrack was the only part of that movie that actually aged well. We’re rooting for those kitty coins!
