David Wain Desperately Rebuilds Cubicles Following Traumatic Glitter Explosion At Office Party

The director is obsessed with recreating every coffee stain and HR complaint for his new project because realism is a lifestyle choice.

Listen, we all know David Wain has a flair for the dramatic, but building an entire fake magazine office just to shoot a movie? That is next-level commitment to the bit. Word on the street is that he wouldn't settle for just any desks. He needed the exact shade of 'Corporate Beige' that makes employees stare blankly into the middle distance while contemplating their life choices. He told everyone he was recreating the vibes for Gail Daughtry, but we think he just missed the smell of burnt breakroom coffee and the sound of a printer jamming every forty-five seconds. Seriously, the man is out here acting like a cubicle wall is a high-art installation. He’s basically the Renaissance painter of water coolers at this point. While most directors are out there using green screens for dragons or space battles, Wain is using his budget to make sure the fake staplers actually staple. We can only hope the actors were paid in 'Employee of the Month' certificates and half-eaten donuts to really seal the deal. It’s a bold move, but if anyone can make a file cabinet look iconic, it’s him.
