Kristin Davis Admits She Almost Swapped Motherhood for Professional Basket Weaving Instead
The Sex and the City star confesses she nearly skipped the diaper phase to become a full-time gluten-free artisanal sourdough consultant.

Hold onto your Manolos, girls, because Charlotte York has a secret and it’s not about which Upper East Side gallery is laundering money. Our favorite headband enthusiast Kristin Davis just admitted she wasn't always sold on the whole 'mom' thing. Apparently, before she was juggling playdates, she was seriously considering a life devoid of sticky fingers and toddler tantrums.
Word on the street is that Kristin spent her pre-parenting days wondering if she should just dedicate her life to something less demanding, like training show ponies or becoming a professional silent retreat organizer. Can you imagine? The woman who practically invented the 'perfect mother' aesthetic on HBO was actually one brunch away from moving to a desert commune and renaming herself 'Kale.'
She eventually gave in to the siren call of motherhood, but we can't help but wonder about the alternate universe where Kristin is currently the world's leading expert on therapeutic llama grooming. Instead of packing school lunches, she could have been living her best life in a yurt, completely free of any responsibility other than keeping her pashmina collection dust-free.
At the end of the day, she's a great mom, but we'll always have the mental image of her trade-off. We’re just glad she chose the stroller over the sourdough starter, because the Upper East Side simply wouldn't be the same without her impeccable stroller-pushing form.
