Maya Hawke Admits Watching Jennifer Lawrence Shoot Arrows Made Her Quit Normalcy

The nepo baby icon realized that archery and survivalist fashion were way cooler than doing her homework or joining the family business.

A hand-drawn caricature of the actress for the story Maya Hawke Admits Watching Jennifer Lawrence Shoot Arrows Made Her Quit Normalcy.
It’s official: we can all blame Katniss Everdeen for Maya Hawke. Our favorite indie darling just admitted that watching 'The Hunger Games' as a kid was the exact moment she realized her calling wasn't in accounting or artisanal bread making. Apparently, seeing a teenager in a braid fight for her life in a dystopian arena was the 'lightbulb moment' that convinced Maya to stand in front of cameras for a living. Maya claims the film hit her so hard she basically decided that if J-Law could dodge fireballs, she could certainly handle a few Shakespearean monologues. It’s a classic story: girl sees girl with bow, girl decides to become a household name. Honestly, most of us just bought a bow from the toy store and hit our brothers in the eye, but Maya went and got a Netflix contract instead. Talk about an overachiever. Thankfully, Maya chose the 'acting' part of the tribute life and not the 'scavenging for berries in the woods' part. While she's not currently fighting off genetically modified wolves in Manhattan, she is serving major looks and proving that sometimes, all a nepo baby needs is a little bit of cinematic trauma to find their path. May the royalties be ever in her favor!
